crewing the boat

There are lots of volunteering opportunities available with Re-Union.

We are currently fitting out our new widebeam boat (all 10'6ft X 60ft of her!).

If you are interested in crewing the boat once it launches in June, download an application form here and don't forget to complete the medical information form and equal opportunities form too.

Crewing

  • Getting everyone home safely.
  • Passing over ownership of the boat to the group.
  • Being the public face of Re-Union.
  • Dealing with the needs of the group.
  • Offering hospitality to the groups.
  • Knowing what to do in the event of an emergency.
  • Preparing the boat for the next trip.
  • Noting any maintenance required.


Maintenance crew

  • Keeping the boat floating.
  • Keeping the boat systems operational.
  • Improving the facilities aboard the boat.
  • Filling in the maintenance log book.


Administrative support

  • Maintaining up to date website.
  • Producing promotional materials.
  • Publicity distribution.
  • Maintaining accurate database.
  • Funding application 1st drafts.
  • Maintaining financial records.


On the management committee

  • Overseeing the work of Re-Union.
  • Managing core staff.
  • Hiring staff
  • Keepers of the Re-Union flame.
