This week in Falkirk

Great meeting about future partnerships with Dawson Bike Club.

Our employability group did boating and lock training this week and ventured up the Falkirk Wheel for the first time which was greatly appreciated and enjoyed by all.

We had a few sweaty bodies on Thursday when the guys mixed in with some of our other volunteers for sport.  It is pleasing to hear the difference organised activity is making to the guys with some reporting weight loss, some starting to eat healthier and some carrying injuries!

Lesley participated in the workshop for Our Place Camelon which sees the community considering many exciting opportunities for community led projects. Looking forward to the next level of discussions.

The last boat movement of 2015 was completed when our local living on water friend Billy brought his new boat ‘Return’ to lock 16.

Lesley and Richard had a positive meeting with representatives of the Education and Training Unit of Falkirk Council completing a review of our partnership – looking good for the future.

We finished the week celebrating one of our key volunteer’s 30th birthday with a delicious home made cake – Happy Birthday Nathan!
