Latest News

August 2018 – Re-Union Canal Boats are a social enterprise with an Activity Base at Lock 16 on the Forth & Clyde Canal and a staff base within Camelon Juniors Football Club as part of a community partnership.  We have been delivering health and wellbeing, physical activity and skills based employability projects for many years and have been supported by funders including Scottish Government’s People and Communities, The Robertson Trust, Scottish Canals, Department of Work and Pensions and the Heritage Lottery.

We are delighted to partner with Rough Castle Experiences in this unique initiative to improve footfall into Falkirk and our canal network.  It is a long held belief that local people should benefit from such initiatives and this project offers an opportunity for local people to develop skills, receive practical training, improve employment prospects, gain a reference, decrease isolation, increase physical activity and be given the opportunity to take pride in their part of a new local initiative.

Our partnership with Rough Castle Experiences will see us develop a flexible and enthusiastic group of volunteers from local canal side communities who will increase their chances of employment through participation.

We welcome visitors to our projects and would be delighted to show anyone around and meet some of our existing volunteers who can explain the difference that being a part of Re-Union Canal Boats has made to them.
