Waterwitch is a cosy narrowboat available for small groups.
Book Waterwitch to experience the canal for your gathering of up to 8 people.
The boat costs £180 for 2 hours or £300 for 3.5 hours.
We also welcome bookings from small community groups, and offer a 25% discount on the private hire prices. Please contact us for further details.

Waterwitch is our newest canal boat. She is a beautiful 40 foot narrowboat.
The boat is suitable for up to 8 people. There is a toilet on board. Tea and coffee are provided, bring your own snacks and refreshments (crockery and glasses provided).
A Skipper and crew will to take you on your journey but if you wish and conditions allow, you will have the opportunity to steer the boat, under supervision!

Buses: The 10, 27 and 38 all stop nearby on or around Ashley Terrace.
Train and Tram: Haymarket station is approx 1 mile walk (approx 25-30 minutes walks)
Car: The nearest postcode is EH11 1NS (Ogilvie Terrace or Harrison Road). On street parking is available in the area. Please follow City of Edinburgh Council guidelines and park responsibly, respecting local residents.
Reasonable mobility is required to enter the boat, although sturdy handrails are in place.
Please ensure your party arrive on time as if there is a delay in setting off it may result in your trip being shortened as we may be restricted by turning points along the canal.
Operating Hours are 10am-5pm in winter and 10am-8pm in summer.
A 2 hour trip will take you to the Slateford Aqueduct and back.
Cancellation Policy
Should you wish to cancel your booking, please advise us by telephone in the first instance. Cancelling your booking will incur a charge, please see below for details. Not less than 14 days before the date of your booking – £50 admin fee for private hires, Less than 14 days 50% of the booking price is payable. Less than 7 days the full price of your booking is payable.
Adverse Weather Conditions
Unfortunately the weather is outwith our control – if the Skipper feels it would be unwise to sail due to adverse weather conditions we will give you as much notice as possible and we will reschedule your trip.
